Today was not a good day, to say the least. Today, Sisco died. She was just over a month old. She had pneumonia and despire our best efforts, she didn't make it. My dad and I spent all day out there with her, covering her with blankets because she was too weak to get up and move, and milking both her mother and my mare, so that we could nurse her. We managed to force feed her twice, but it just wasn't enough.

We called around for a vet, but the only one available was a cattle vet who refused to come out and look at her. Needless to say, there aren't words to describe what I feel towards him. It's his job to look at sick animals. Maybe he could have done something for her if he had seen her.

I can't get into it more on here, it's only been a few hours. I do have more pictures to post, but I'd rather not look at pictures of her right now...
